Abstract

Many buildings, such as hospitals and large schools, can be incredibly difficult to navigate with their winding hallways and multiple floors. Our project aims to help these institutions by providing an open source JavaScript library that can generate directions between any two specified locations in a building. Once given a building layout, our library, room-finder, can generate instructions across hallways and floors to find a reasonable path for a user to take. Room-finder is free to use and comes with detailed online documentation.
