Abstract

We have a game design class at Talawanda High School where students make games for their final exams, along with many other students who make games as hobbies in their free time, so why can't we have a place for all of these games to be played by our student body? Our team is made up of students who wanted to take on such a task. After brainstorming some ideas, we found a way to combine all our games in one place for our school to play their own games. We started by creating a website that would serve as the repository for people who wanted to play these games. Though the trails didn't end there. We had to figure out how we could possibly achieve such a goal. We had to get a server, a website, and not to mention our games. So we went straight to work in making it happen. Our team created a dual-boot Linux and Windows machine to host the files for the website and the games. We gained experience not only in web design, but networking, systems administration, programming, and many other areas of computer information technology as it relates to hosting and delivering content to consumers. This project helped us make connections to many different areas of CIT and work as a team with individuals who were working on separate parts of a larger project.
