Abstract

There are around 2700 locations with National Park in their title on our planet, and more than 6500 locations with Category II type of protected areas that defines “National Park” per International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA). So far, there is not a single website or mobile app dedicated to the World's National Parks where all the information about the parks is available. If any user wants to search information about the world's national parks, he or she will have to rely on Wikipedia or find the park's official website. Also, there is not a single database or API with the World's National Parks list on the internet. We've created The World's National Parks website and mobile application that provides a brief information and a map of all the National Parks. Mobile Application has features like finding parks nearby and directions.
