Abstract

The average cost for starting a business is $30,000[1]. This leads to essential needs that come with significant cost such as database management to be out of budget. For many small businesses, the solution is to track their data manually. Time and lack of technology resources contribute to the use of manual data methods. Without proper guidance small business owners are left to struggle to learn the basics of data storage. EasyDB is a web application that aims to solve the database knowledge gap by guiding non-technical users through the creation of a basic database with concepts that can be used in a standalone database for their applications. It guides users in the creation of tutorial databases with videos, articles, and common concept examples for small businesses with the end goal of being able to leave with a template database and the knowledge to edit for specific data storage needs.
