Abstract

Extreme Makeover: Tech Edition is an initiative to help a small business develop a technology presence. Approximately 59% of all small business owners are 45 years or older. Studies have shown that 77% of older adults need assistance when learning new technology. At the rate that technology progresses, some business owners do not know where to start. The owner of Four Source Restoration and Remodeling fell into this category. Kelly Winhoven is a 48-year-old, small business owner with limited technology skills. Winhoven was looking for a way to ease management and increase marketing for Four Source. Our team helped him achieve this by creating a website, building a database, and securing the network. We also modernized the company's logo and enhanced the social media for improved customer experience. All these factors came together to create an extreme technology makeover for Four Source Restoration and Remodeling.
