Everyone struggles to find relevant, up-to-date information online, especially IT professionals. Medium Overflow is a website that seeks to solve the problem of misinformed and outdated technical information on the Internet. According to a study of 52,177 answer threads on the popular Q&A site Stack Overflow, over half of the obsolete answers that were studied were obsolete the moment they were posted. The whole Internet has this problem of outdated information, usually even worse than Stack Overflow, but it has features for the community to update the information. Medium Overflow also uses the community to verify information validity, with a focus on technical articles and tutorials. Each article follows an open-source workflow where users can view past revisions, raise issues, or request a change to update the information. This structure allows articles to change as the technology they have written about does.
