Abstract

Handle Handler (HH) is a platform where popular social media handles can be legitimately exchanged. Presently, people with unique handles are targets for being hacked and/or scammed. HH will help cut back on this by providing a secure marketplace to exchange handles. As a group we decided to do this project because we saw a need for a marketplace for handles. If you investigate, there are people who have handles that have happened to become “popular” but were originally not. Individuals who have malicious intent that want the handle put these original handle users at risk. While this app does not implement a security feature to prevent hacking, it can mitigate. If an original user of a popular handle does not want their handle anymore, they can sell it for profit. HH will allow an original handle user to sell or trade their current handle for cash.
