Pantry Pal is a Java-based web application designed to combat residential food waste, save money on food-related expenditures, and engender a sense of confidence in the kitchen. Users can search for recipes using various search criteria, including options like ingredients, budget, and preparation time. What makes Pantry Pal stand out among its counterparts is a feature that utilizes the Geolocation API to find local stores and display the prices of ingredients necessary for selected recipes, which streamlines the process of buying groceries and can help users save money.
