Abstract

Fx3 is an open-source project designed to facilitate fair play in eSporting events, Speedrunning charities, and other forms of online competition. Online competitive gaming has exploded in popularity, both in viewership and participation. With this amount of attention, there is a lot of money invested in hosting large online events – from technical teams, moderators, sponsors, advertisers, etc. While most participate with good intentions, some competitors seek personal achievement over sportsmanship. Fx3 is a lightweight solution for monitoring these games, creating an auditable list of executables that were running during live events. With this – moderators hosting the event can ensure that rules of play are adhered to.
