Abstract

Almost all of the math teachers at our school regularly assign homework on DeltaMath, a site which offers digital math assignments and practice tools for middle and high schoolers. As students who frequently use this program, we have noticed that, though the site can be helpful in supplementing class instruction, most find it to be very disengaging and difficult to focus on. Furthermore, according to a poll of over 200 DeltaMath users at our school, over half of students admit to having cheated on their DeltaMath assignments at least once before. Our project, DeltaGAME, was created in the hopes to prevent cheating and encourage learning by make DeltaMath more fun for users.
