Abstract

The existing knowledge base on child learning development in the area of keyboard shortcut offers a wealth of information that can improve children’s learning abilities in this era of technology. There have been several research papers that had provided child interaction designs. The team conducted extensive research looking at existing knowledge relating to the design of technology based on children that had been useful to them. The main aim of the paper is to design a window shortcuts learning system with the following research questions guiding the study, what are the design requirements for a child-centered Windows shortcuts learning system? And how can the designed system be evaluated? The team developed a conceptual model and again, designed and evaluated a functional prototype of the system. The team used different research methods, performing task analysis, conducted surveys, developed storyboards, use cases, and use scenarios and prototypes. Lastly, the team evaluated the prototype based on responses from the users.
