Abstract

EventLink is an innovative application designed to address the challenges faced by individuals, particularly newcomers, in discovering and participating in local events. Tailored for a diverse audience with a specific focus on the Cincinnati area, EventLink was designed to provide a centralized platform for users to search for events across a wide range of popular social media platforms without the need for any social media accounts. The project's concept revolved around combining event posts from platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter into a centralized hub for easy event discovery. EventLink was built as an ASP.Net Core Web Application and utilized a wide variety of software suites to function, such as Apify, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft’s Visual Studio. Design objectives emphasized user-friendliness and accessibility, promoting an open and free-to-use application for users of all experience levels.
