Abstract

Unisift is a district-wide subscription service that filters emails sent in bulk by your school/district. For the low cost of $3.00 per student per month, your district could have a program for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to sort the emails they receive and keep their inbox as optimal as possible. The purpose of this program is to make sure student emails don’t get flooded with unnecessary information, ending up with students not finding important emails, losing emails, or just not looking in their inbox at all. Students will be able to take a survey on our website using their school email address, and the answers of this survey will be used to filter out whatever doesn’t correspond with their needs, (Ex: filtering out scholarship information because the student doesn’t plan on going to college). This will help students see information that helps them post-high school. Any emails that were filtered out will not be removed immediately, instead they will be moved to a “Trash” folder and will be deleted in 14 days. Any emails that have similar content as filtered emails will be sent to an “Archived” folder and will be copied and deleted after 14 days. “Archived” emails can be restored at any time. Students and administrators will be able to create, and delete folders as they please. Administrators may also send specific bulk emails to students who fit the criteria from the filters put in place from the administrators, (Ex: an administrator sending a bulk email to all college-bound students).
