Abstract

TidalTitan is an innovative modular construction beam designed to integrate wave energy generation into oceanic infrastructure. Engineered for applications such as oil rigs, research stations, piers, and docks, TidalTitan features a sleek, pillar-like design that provides structural support while simultaneously generating renewable energy. The system utilizes a buoy connected to internal magnets, which move vertically with ocean waves, passing through a coil to induce an electric current. Our showcase demonstrates this mechanism in a controlled wave tank, where waves are generated using an Arduino-powered servo system driving a 3D-printed plate. As the global demand for sustainable energy solutions grows, TidalTitan presents a groundbreaking approach to embedding renewable power generation within essential marine structures. By transforming wave motion into electricity, TidalTitan offers a sustainable, resilient, and efficient energy source for offshore environments, paving the way for a cleaner, greener future.
