Abstract

Threatlens is a network security monitoring dashboard utilizing Grafana, OpenVAS, and Prometheus to enhance real-time visibility and threat detection. The system integrates OpenVAS for vulnerability scanning, Prometheus for metrics collection, and Grafana for visualization, providing IT administrators with an intuitive interface for monitoring network health and security risks. The dashboard displays real-time anomalies, allowing administrators to identify and assess potential threats promptly. Automated reporting ensures continuous documentation of detected vulnerabilities, while visual alerts highlight critical security events for immediate attention. Threatlens successfully demonstrated improved network observability, proactive security management, and scalability for various IT environments. A cost-effective solution was delivered for organizations seeking enhanced network security insights by leveraging open-source tools. It offers a centralized platform for tracking vulnerabilities, system performance, and security trends, ultimately reducing cyber threats. The project was evaluated in real- world scenarios, ensuring its reliability and effectiveness in detecting and responding to potential security risks.
