Abstract

Our group worked on creating a digital platform to enhance inventory management by integrating digital signature collection upon receipt of items. This project originated from a team member’s need for a more comprehensive solution that existing systems lacked. We designed and implemented a web-based inventory management system that streamlined tracking, improved accountability, and ensured secure verification of received items. Our approach involved leveraging cloud-based storage, encryption for data security, and an intuitive user interface to simplify operations. Initially focused on childcare inventory, the project expanded to accommodate a broader range of assets. The final implementation demonstrated improved efficiency, reduced errors, and enhanced security in inventory tracking. The Cincinnati Inventory Management Project provided a scalable and adaptable solution for businesses and organizations seeking a more robust and user-friendly inventory management system.
