Abstract

Honey Badger has been designed to lure malicious actors and analyze the attack as a response to increasing and persistent threats posed to the cyber community. Honey Badger uses a suite of containers purpose built and pre-built for detecting intrusion attempts hosted on Azure using Terraform and Docker. Sequencing the containers with a custom logging script to export data, Honey Badger gains insight into global threats attempting to attack our instances. An analysis of the data collected from the container suite would create a position of forward knowledge and sharing in the cybersecurity community. Honey Badger provides a cybersecurity solution to both research and general security by gathering and analyzing data generated in captured attacks.
