Abstract

Garage Goblin is a smart, mobile-friendly web application designed to streamline the parking experience by providing real-time parking availability data. The system integrates hardware and software components, utilizing ultrasonic sensors and Wi-Fi modules to detect parking occupancy and update a cloud-hosted database. Users can access a web interface to view available spots, calculate parking costs, and navigate garages using Leaflet integration. Designed with accessibility and scalability in mind, Garage Goblin enhances efficiency for drivers while providing valuable insights for garage proprietors. Future security measures will include data validation, controlled API access, and role-based access control to ensure safe operations. The project follows Agile development methodologies, enabling continuous improvements based on user needs. Future enhancements include advanced analytics, wireless data transmission upgrades, and integration with existing parking infrastructures. Garage Goblin represents a modern, technology-driven solution to urban parking challenges, improving convenience and reducing traffic congestion.
