Abstract

According to EdTech Review studies reveal that 78% of students believe integrating technology, such as gamification, laptops, iPads, and simulation-based learning, keeps them motivated and engaged while helping them learn concepts more efficiently compared to physical textbooks. “Knowledge Quest: UC Edition” was a project designed to create an interactive educational platform that gamified the classroom learning experience. Passionately developed by our group and inspired by the Jeopardy game format, the platform allowed educators to design custom quizzes tailored to their courses. Students engaged collaboratively by answering questions and earning points or badges. By gamifying education, Knowledge Quest transformed studying from a chore into an exciting challenge. Students actively participated, collaborated with peers, and developed a deeper understanding of course materials. It also provided professors with innovative methods to assess and encourage student creativity, transforming the traditional learning experience into an engaging, fun, and motivating process students eagerly anticipated daily.
