Abstract

Securing devices can be a difficult and daunting task, SecureIT tries to make it simpler. SecureIT is a network scanner that gives users suggestions and guides on how to secure the actual devices on their system. Making securing their devices simple and easy. Simply scan a network and the devices will show up on the portal. Once the network is scanned the user can click on the desired device and see guides on how to better ensure security of the device, the user is also able to see some preliminary information about the device including IP address, device type, and device name. These guides can be crucial to non-tech-savvy users as they make research for security simple and also increases their technical knowledge of security protocols. SecureIT is very helpful because it can reduce the risk that a user incurs when using smart devices and computers connected to the internet.
