Abstract

Team 30 has made a game called “An Enlightning Journey”. The purpose of this game is to shed light on the difficulties that children might experience while growing up. Team 30 has searched through several news articles on the internet to find several statistics when it comes to kids and trauma of all kinds. Team 30’s findings on the topic were as follows: 1 in 7 children have experienced childhood trauma, More than 1,000 youth are treated in emergency departments, and many more. In this game, the player will be able to follow the adventure of four young kids who have to get stronger to fight off a threat in the future while balancing their school and normal lives at the same time. Team 30 hopes that the game that they have created will attract attention to children’s mental health and how difficult growing up can be at times.
