Abstract

Asset Sentry is an asset management software designed to streamline the creation of asset loans and monitor the status of active loans. Its primary goal is to enhance asset management systems in universities, where multiple items are frequently loaned out at once. Asset Sentry includes a table for viewing equipment availability, rental status, and overdue items. Users will have the ability to update loan information, such as borrower details, loan durations, and asset conditions. A filtering feature enables users to quickly find specific loans based on relevant criteria, eliminating the need to search through all records. Asset Sentry will also send out email notifications to both students and staff about upcoming loan end dates. With its user-friendly interface, Asset Sentry will simplify asset management for IT administrators and university staff, allowing them to effectively oversee all loaned assets.
