Abstract

Knockout is a web-based application designed to simplify the process of creating, managing, and participating in competitive tournaments. While other applications in this space tend to be either complicated to navigate or lack features for a wider audience, Knockout provides a good balance between being feature-rich and simple to use. The design of Knockout allows simple creation of brackets, while also letting users expand options to create more complicated tournaments, with the ability to export brackets to view outside the application and receive notifications on upcoming matches or updates. Users are able to create and participate in competitions from casual gaming tournaments to official sport tournaments.
