College students face financial burdens every semester, particularly when signing up for new courses and receiving the news of course material being required--materials which cost students hundreds of dollars each semester. Our project, BookEx, is an application which serves as a platform allowing students to seamlessly exchange textbooks. By facilitating peer-to-peer transactions, the app helps reduce financial strain while promoting sustainability by giving textbooks a second life. This textbook exchange application will give students the ability to easily recuperate funds once sacrificed for classes, as well as meet like-minded peers on campus.
