Abstract

The Grocery Store Application was designed to streamline grocery planning by overcoming issues such as scattered list management, limited budget visibility, and difficulties coordinating purchases among multiple shoppers. This project produced a full-stack solution that allowed users to register securely, maintain continuously stored grocery lists, and collaborate through shared access features. A relational database framework supported organized storage of accounts, lists, and item information, ensuring consistency and dependability. The application also featured a searchable grocery catalog that simplified product selection and organization. Furthermore, an integrated meal suggestion component evaluated user-selected items to recommend recipes and highlight missing ingredients, improving preparation efficiency and minimizing redundant purchases. The development process followed an iterative strategy focused on modular architecture, validation testing, and user experience refinement. The final system demonstrated reliable functionality, clear navigation, and collaborative effectiveness, delivering a practical grocery management platform with opportunities for future growth through cloud hosting, mobile support, and synchronized real-time updates.
