Abstract

HarmonyHub is a web-based music sharing platform that was meant to consolidate the disparate history tracking of music lovers who utilize multiple different music streaming platforms. The goal of HarmonyHub was to foster an environment where users were able to easily share their passion in music with each other. The web application let users connect to their streaming service of choice and view their own listening history. Like-minded users then easily connected and shared their favorite songs with each other, all in the goal of sparking new connections through music. These features were developed by using the Next.js framework to manage both the frontend and backend, and a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon for storing user data. In total, these allowed users to go beyond just sharing their listening statistics and participated in other activities in the application to further the concept of connectivity through music.
