Abstract

Have you ever wanted to hide sensitive information on your computer without drawing attention to it? This is exactly the problem Steg Crypt is designed to solve. Steg crypt has been designed to be a security-focused application to help users encrypt sensitive text and hide it within images. Steg crypt was developed using python and uses the following libraries to secure data: Fernet is utilized for symmetric encryption to ensure the confidentiality of user data, while the Stegano library enables secure steganographic embedding of encrypted text within image files. The application also incorporates Pillow for efficient image processing and Tkinter to provide a user-friendly graphical interface. Steg crypt provides a local and offline security solution to users that don't want to connect their sensitive information to servers and big corporations.
