Abstract

For companies in the 21st century, not having security is no longer an option, it's in every aspect of the business. This presents a difficult environment, especially today as the data landscape is ever changing. This leads to people falling into issues with fines, reputation damage, and other negative consequences of poor data security. This is why we made DataSafe. Datasafe is a python fastAPI application with a react frontend, written in typescript. Companies can use datasafe to have a better understanding of the data that is stored in their object storage services, validate what type data is stored, and if there is data that will put them at risk. They can use datasafe to help to remediate, this could be policy, this could be removing data that was not intentionally stored. The end goal being, with Datasafe companies can do a better job truly keeping their data safe.
