Abstract

Each semester, thousands of UC students either start a fresh slate of classes or begin a new co-op rotation. As a result of the back-and-forth schedule of classes and co-ops, many of these students move into or out of off-campus housing every semester. To find or fill available rooms, students often rely on social media, including public Facebook groups, Snapchat stories, and Instagram stories. This means many, including non-students, have access to these posts. SubletUC was created to fill the need these students have - a student-only web application designed for finding and listing subleases available around campus. Our solution securely facilitated this process by employing a Cloudflare tunnel for student verification, and was developed utilizing ASP.NET, C#, Razor, Blazor, MS SQL, Azure, and many UI/UX tools and libraries. SubletUC takes the stress out of finding and filling housing so that students can focus on their academic success
