Abstract

Many students hesitate to seek academic help due to fear of judgment or limited access to timely support, which this project aimed to address through technology. The Peer Feedback App was created to support structured, anonymous, and constructive peer feedback among university students. The application was built using a React frontend, Django backend, and PostgreSQL database. The system allowed students to evaluate peers using standardized or customizable criteria while preserving anonymity to encourage honest and meaningful feedback. Users could view aggregated feedback through a dashboard, reflect on their progress over time, and receive notifications to promote timely participation. The system emphasized data privacy and ease of use, implementing secure authentication and protections aligned with educational privacy standards. Overall, the project demonstrated how a thoughtfully designed peer feedback platform could enhance collaboration, accountability, and reflective learning in academic environments.
