Abstract

The BeeBetter project was created to help those who struggle with seasonal or year-round allergies. This idea was inspired by a member of our team, Joseph, who has personal experiences with allergies and frustrations with the lack of tools available to track allergen related wellness. As a team we pulled together an idea to develop an application where users can find and save data that is relevant to their needs. BeeBetter is a web application that pulls data for a specific zip code and provides a user with allergens that are likely to be present at a given time. With the BeeBetter web application, allergen data such as past pollen history as well as predictions are offered, along with an option to log entries in a journal for analysis. Our application allows users to see pollen trends regarding specific locations and times of year, through integrations with historical data.
