Abstract

Ross Koppel, a leader in Health IT, estimates that 70% of health records contain incorrect information. Medical mistakes account for 250,000 deaths a year. QRU is an app, built on the PowerApps platform, that uses a QR Code to easily access a patient’s medical records in a variety of situations. QRU is used by doctors and patients to work together and improve the accuracy and availability of a person’s medical records. A patient’s medical records are stored in a Microsoft SQL Server Management studio database and hosted on Microsoft Azure that works directly with our PowerApps App. Having an app that allows you to view your records after a medical visit will allow you to check for errors and request changes directly from the doctor. QRU will drastically lower the number of medical mistake deaths a year and allow patients to feel safer and protected during medical emergencies.
