Abstract

ShareCat was designed to be a singular source of information for students, club members and leaders, faculty, and visitors alike. We felt that there was not a consistent and optimal platform for these communities to communicate, collaborate nor easily access university related information, as the existing sites and applications are slow and hard to find relevant information. Therefore, ShareCat was developed as a space for these communities and individuals to conveniently access various university resources in one place. The ShareCat application features various useful tools for students such as calendars, club information, and university resources. Other features include a map with university points of interest, as well as various resources for club leaders to send information to members. Ultimately, ShareCat will lead to increased communication and efficiency of University of Cincinnati students, leaders, faculty, and visitors in their endeavors to access relevant information.
