Abstract

The Mobile Ordering App is a solution for small restaurants looking to expand their online customer base. Using other food delivery applications comes at additional cost for the business: DoorDash charges restaurants 15-30% in fees, Uber Eats requires partners to have separate iPads, and larger corporations have their own applications to circumvent any disadvantages. This is not a luxury enjoyed by small businesses and is where we want to step in. Our application utilizes the Square API, the system being used by small businesses around the world to take payments. By using Square, we can reduce the required fees and integrate directly with their existing system. Our application will also allow users to view a list and map of locations near them, see hours and menus, and order within the application. We are striving to develop an app that supports small businesses, bringing more money and customers to their doors.
